What a day in the life of a Sander/Buffer at REV looks like: Responsible for sanding or buffing hydro dip parts Prep product for final paint Wipe down all areas to be painted with a degreaser and solvent Sand of Buff hydro dip parts to prepare for painting Perform sanding or buffing on basic items Must have the ability to correct errors Operate any equipment or tools needed to perform the job Maintain equipment such has sander and other equipment clean and safe Self-check work and inspect the process; attention to detail Ensure that hazardous waste that is handled is placed in proper containers Know spill response procedures and evacuation plan Keep work area clean and organized Other duties as assigned Required education, skills, and experiences to be successful: Ability to run dual action sanders, grinders, and miscellaneous hand tools Must have full knowledge of quality requirements to produce acceptable finish paint Ability to communicate professionally and follow directions Ability to work in a team environment Ability to learn how to mix primers and other paint products Must have general knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards Physical demands on this role: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and climbing up and down ladders and scaffolding Ability to regularly lift and move 40 lbs. without assistance Ability to push/pull carts and racks in and out of booths Ability to work with arms above head Ability to work from ladders or scaffolding Ability to operate and understand the operation of all protective safety equipment in the area. Ability to work in non-temperature-controlled environments Ability to work in 95 plus degree temperatures Must pass a spirometer test and can use a respirator.
