Job Title: Forklift Operator and Material Handler

Job Description

Join a leading environmental company as part of their team, where you will play a vital role in managing waste. Your responsibilities include transporting drums, identifying contents, and ensuring proper disposal into a hopper. You will also handle the loading and unloading of drums onto trucks and assist in separating hazardous from non-hazardous waste in designated warehouse areas. Certification in 40 Hour Hazwoper will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Transport and identify drums of waste for proper disposal.
• Load and offload drums onto trucks.
• Separate hazardous and non-hazardous waste in the warehouse.
• Sweep and maintain cleanliness in the warehouse.

Essential Skills

• General labor and materials handling.
• Experience with forklift operations.
• Knowledge of hazardous material and waste management.
• Sorting and labeling of waste.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Preferred experience in environmental, wastewater, or hazmat fields.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on feet all day.
• Strong attitude towards career growth and success.
• Basic computer skills for web-based training.

Work Environment

The role is based at a hazardous waste disposal facility, equipped with advanced technology for the environmentally responsible treatment and disposal of various waste streams. Work in a dynamic environment, both indoors and outdoors, with all necessary personal protection equipment provided. Shifts are Monday to Friday, with overtime opportunities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
