Job Description Case Manager Location: Alexandria, VA Position Type: Contract Hourly / $23/hr Residency Status: US Citizen Position Description A Shelter Case Manager provides comprehensive case management services to persons experiencing homelessness. Services include development of housing and support plans, resource/referrals for basic needs, benefits coordination, employment referrals, vital document assistance, client advocacy, service referrals to community partners, crisis intervention, and more. The Case Manager must be able to provide strengths-based case management to individuals seeking permanent housing while problem‑solving potential barriers and completing relevant housing applications with clients. Skills Required Ability to schedule and manage workload Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment and manage a caseload (no greater than 1:25) Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing Skills Preferred Knowledge of current homelessness strategies and priorities (Trauma‑Informed Care, Housing First, Equity) Knowledge of current social service, homeless, and housing issues, and methods/approaches to address those issues Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software Bilingual skills a plus Experience providing services to clients experiencing homelessness, mental health, or substance abuse issues Experience utilizing the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) Experience Required Social work/case management experience with homeless and/or at‑risk populations Experience working in an emergency shelter setting or other similar case management experience Experience Preferred Previous experience providing street outreach services, case management, or human services to individuals experiencing homelessness Education Required Bachelor’s Degree in a human service‑related field Company Description We are GTN – The Go To Network Who We Are GTN is the leader in technical staffing, leveraging innovation to drive next‑generation recruiting to Fortune 2000 companies.
