Express Employment is looking for an Industrial Mechanic.

Hours: Wednesday– Saturday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Pay : $18 /Hour 

Wor k Location: Oroville, CA

Job Description:

• Engages in the maintenance and repair of machinery and various equipment such as: install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain facility equipment.
• Must be mechanically inclined with industrial machinery knowledge.
• Be able to work with tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Visually inspects equipment, diagnose issues, and locate causes of malfunctions, remove and repair defective parts.
• Start and test machines and equipment to test operating status.
• Dismantles machines and equipment for repair and maintenance.
• Proficient as using power and hand tools.
• Must be able to ready layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings.
• Must be able to use hand tools, power tools, lifts and hoists, cutting tools, welders, torches, and other various tools.
• May set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder to fabricate necessary parts for repairs.
• Inspects machinery and equipment to detect defects or malfunctions, repairs as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills Required:

• Responsible for compliance to Good Manufacturing Practcies and Food Safety Guidelines.
• Responsible for compliance to Cal-OSHA and company's Injury Illness Prevention Program, Safety Policies, Procedures, and Programs.
• Responsible for Procedures and Work Instructions to ensure job duties are understood.
• Responsible to Report food safety problems to personnel with authority to ensure the appropriate action is taken.
• Responsible for verification of monitoring activities that have been finished to comply with food safety and quality specifications, as necessary.
• Responsible for the yearly review of the food safety system.
• Responsible to assist in Quality system and maintenance of Food Safety.

Requirements:

• Must have 2 years of current experience.
• Must know how to use a computer as well as know software packages.
• Must know how to read, understand, and troubleshoot using equipment drawings and technical data.
• Must work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
• Must know how to Establish/maintain permanent files.
• Must know how to operate a Powered Industrial Truck (forklift).
• Must know how to understand, remember, and apply oral/written instructions.
• Must know how to communicate.
• Must have basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
• Must have Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
• Must be able to walk, climb stairs, and bend up to 8 hours a day.
• Must have Ability to stand, sit, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, squat, kneel, twist.
• Must have the ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Must have the ability to sit, stand, and walk around the work area/ warehouse 80% of the time.
• Must be available to work on other shifts and days when needed.
