Conducts preliminary intake interviews and assesses reports of discrimination, harrassment, sexual misconduct, retaliation and other school and workplace misconduct that violates district policies. Determines whether a formal investigation is warranted by the facts of each case and conducts formal investigations, including drafting notices of investigations, interviewing witnesses, reviewing documents and creating written evidence summaries, and drafting final investigation reports. Works to minimize employee relations related liability. What You'll Do: Performs intake of informal and formal complaints and identifies the relevant scope of complaints; makes recommendations of interim measures, when needed. Receives, reviews and investigates allegations related to the District's policies addressing non-discrimination, harassment, retaliation and other school and workplace misconduct that violates district policies Receives, reviews and investigates allegations from students, employees and community members concerning unlawful discrimination, harassment, retaliation and violations of labor/employment law Prepares investigation plans and interview questions by analyzing the complaint, and identifying the issues, potential witnesses and types of documentation to request/review Develops an investigation plan that will foster a timely, fair, thorough and impartial investigation Writes clear, concise, thorough investigation reports that will support efficient decision-maker review and application Develops and implements training relative to the District's, federal and state anti-harassment and non-discrimination laws, regulations, policies and procedures What You'll Need: Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis on EEO, Title IX, Workplace Investigations or related fieldsn (JD preferred) At least three (3) years experience conducting school or workplace misconduct investigations (Title IX investigations preferred) Professional level experience interviewing parties for the purposes of fact-finding, including but not limited to conducting deposition, workplace investigations, and student conduct proceedings Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education.
