Job Description
The Local Marketing Coordinator will support the firm’s marketing and outreach efforts with a focus on the personal injury division, while also assisting with firm wide initiatives across other departments. This role requires a blend of digital marketing execution, event support, advertising coordination, and grassroots business development. A key part of the position includes supporting attorneys with event planning, managing the advertising process from concept to proof review, and executing referral strategies modeled after pharmaceutical-style relationship building.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing & Content Execution
● Develop and publish engaging content for Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn to promote the firm, its attorneys, and community involvement.
● Maintain website content including blogs, news items, attorney bios, and updated practice area pages.
● Build and execute email marketing campaigns for clients, referral partners, and firm announcements.
Attorney & Departmental Event Support
● Coordinate logistics for attorney speaking engagements, seminars, and firm-sponsored events across all practice areas.
● Assist with internal and external department-led events, ensuring branding, promotion, and post-event follow-up are executed.
● Track key dates and deliverables for each department’s event calendar.
Ad Creation, Review & Approval
● Draft ad copy and coordinate layout and design using templates or vendors.
● Route proofs to attorneys for input and approval; manage deadlines for review cycles.
● Ensure ads meet quality, branding, and publication specs before submission
Referral Development & Community Outreach
● Establish and maintain referral relationships with:
○ Chiropractors and medical offices
○ Law firms not practicing personal injury
○ Local business owners and civic organizations
● Model outreach efforts after pharmaceutical representatives: visit offices, drop off branded materials, and build ongoing rapport.
● Maintain a contact database and track frequency and quality of referral visits or check-ins.
Public Relations & Brand Presence
● Draft and distribute press releases highlighting case wins, new hires, and firm milestones.
● Seek PR opportunities with local newspapers, business journals, podcasts, and local media.
● Ensure brand consistency across all community touchpoints.
Event Planning & On-Site Support
● Represent the firm at local community events, charity drives, and networking functions.
● Coordinate sponsorships, swag, signage, and promotional materials for booth/table setups.
● Capture photos or stories from events for use in marketing.
Tracking & Reporting
● Track metrics including social engagement, ad performance, website traffic, referral activity, and event ROI.
● Provide monthly updates to the Firm Administrator and CMO for performance evaluation and strategic adjustments.
Required Qualifications:
● 2+ years in marketing, public relations, or business development—legal, healthcare, or service industry preferred
● Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
● Familiarity with social platforms and tools (e.g., Canva, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite)
● Organized and responsive with excellent follow-through
● Confident in-person and professional when representing the firm
● Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally
Preferred Qualifications:
● Knowledge of Indiana business communities and local media outlets
● Familiarity with legal or medical terminology
● Light graphic design or video editing experience
● Experience managing events or sponsorships
