Horizon Health is seeking a full-time Medical Records Clerk . A Medical Records Clerk is someone who manages the internal/external faxes for the organization, handles all incoming and outgoing medical records, works to review the dictation as directed by providers, and serves as the process owner of the sending and receiving of x-ray images and reports for the organization to ensure accurate medical record for the patient. A wide range of duties including, cross-over duties with Health Information Technology support staff. Horizon Health offers a collaborative, team-oriented work environment focused on meeting the needs of individual patients while supporting and contributing to the health and wellness of our communities.

This position may be remote for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process Release of Information (ROI) requests for medical records by answering questions and requests of patients, hospital staff, law firms, insurance companies, and government agencies.
• Review, edit, format and appropriately place dictation into EHR as directed for providers.
• Manage the internal/external faxes for the organization.
