Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) – WHNP Preferred

Location: Suffolk, VA

Practice: Lifetime Women’s Health & Wellness Centers

Schedule: Full-time (~40 hours/week)

We’re looking for a Certified Nurse Midwife who’s confident in their clinical skills, steady under pressure, and ready to make a long-term home with a practice that truly values its team. This is a full-time, permanent position—not a temporary stop. We’re looking for someone who wants to grow roots and be part of something meaningful.

We serve a diverse population and care for women across the lifespan, from first-time moms to women navigating complex GYN needs. You’ll be part of a collaborative, high-performing OB/GYN team that includes physicians, nurse practitioners, and midwives who all work together with respect and purpose.

• You are a  Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM)
• You also hold a  Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP)certification—or have a  clear NP background focused exclusively on OB/GYN care
• You have at least 2 years of experience providing full-scope OB and GYN care
• You’re confident managing labor and delivery, including OB call and triage
• You’re comfortable using modern tools (EMRs, AI-enhanced workflows)—or at least open to learning
• You value a team-based approach and working collaboratively with physicians and fellow midwives

• Prenatal, labor, delivery, and postpartum care
• Annual exams, contraception, problem visits, and ongoing GYN care
• OB call rotation and labor management
• Thorough, efficient documentation using tech-supported tools
• Supporting a high-quality, high-trust patient experience

• You’re not certified as a CNM
• You lack GYN experience or are not comfortable managing both OB and GYN
• You’re looking for a short-term position
• You prefer a slower pace or minimal patient volume
• You resist change, technology, or teamwork
• You’re not comfortable being part of a fast-moving, high-accountability practice

• You’re warm, grounded, and steady—even when things get hectic
• You take ownership of your work and support your teammates
• You’re genuinely excited about being part of a practice that is growing and innovating
• You want to stay in one place and be part of a long-term vision

• Fluency in Spanish
• A background in mentorship, precepting, or protocol development
• An interest in contributing to community engagement or OB program growth
