Hiring for Metal Polisher and Buffer

Job Description

Begin your journey in grinding, where you'll use a hand grinder to smooth rough edges and polish metal to achieve a refined finish. You will cross-train in basic fabrication, cutting metal to length using a tape measure, and engage in brake press operations, spot welding, buffing, and racking for paint. Additionally, you will assist in other departments as needed, including assembly, packaging, and paint.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand grinders to smooth and polish metal surfaces.
• Cross-train in basic fabrication tasks, including cutting metal and utilizing brake press.
• Perform spot welding and buffing operations.
• Assist with racking for paint applications.
• Support other departments such as assembly, packaging, and paint as needed.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical aptitude through previous work experience, education, or hobbies.
• Experience with sheet metal and grinding techniques.
• Proficiency in reading tape measures and understanding basic math.
• Competency in using hand and power tools.

The pay range for this position is $21.84 - $22.09/hr.
