This role involves expertly preparing and executing new item presentations, key account presentations, and trade shows, while ensuring efficient trade spending management and achieving volume objectives. The Sales Director – Whole Foods plays a crucial role in keeping the Sr. Director and the Touch Agency Leadership team informed about market conditions that drive business growth. Major Responsibilities Account Expertise : Act as the primary expert on Whole Foods Market, providing prompt assistance to clients and resolving issues effectively. Multi-Channel Sales Management : Lead and oversee existing business and new placement opportunities at Whole Foods Market for The Touch Agency’s portfolio of Better-for-You brands. Ensure alignment with clients on strategy and approach. Trade Spending & Budget Management : Efficiently manage client trade spend budget within the region to maximize resources and drive results. Broker & Distribution Management : Effectively collaborate with broker and distributor teams to ensure seamless support for achieving client objectives and initiatives, including pricing, promotion, placement, and distribution strategies. New Product and Brand Launch : Successfully plan and execute the launch of new items and brands with Whole Foods Market. Data - Driven Insights : Utilize syndicated and Whole Foods Market portal data to generate valuable insights and recommendations for both clients and retail partners, with a strong focus on fact-based selling. Reporting : Regularly report key account activity, sales execution, and category review information via the Monday.com reporting system. Collaborative Approach : Maintain proactive and professional communication with fellow Touch Agency team members and key client contacts in sales and marketing. Retailer-Facing Event Representation: Support The Touch Agency and brand partners at various retailer-facing trade shows, including prominent events such as Natural Products Expo and distributor tabletops. Experience/Education Minimum 2+ years experience in Whole Foods Market headquarter sales management within the Better-for-You packaged goods industry, demonstrating strong understanding of sales planning and marketing strategies. Prior experience in the Grocery and/or Whole Body categories is required. Experience in managing multiple brands, particularly as a broker or Category Manager, is strongly preferred. Familiarity with the functions and operations of brokers and major distributors is a plus. Experience engaging with Whole Foods Global and Regional divisions such as Mountain Pacific (Rocky Mountain), Northeast, Northern California, etc. Strong negotiation and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Google Workspace. Must have the ability to travel and reside near a major US airport. Estimated travel is less than 10%.
